Market Guidelines for Drummoyne Markets

Welcome to the Drummoyne Markets! Please review the following guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all stallholders and visitors:

1. Product Requirements

  • All products sold at the market must be handmade or Australian Made or Designed.
  • Reselling of imported or mass-produced goods is not permitted to maintain the integrity and uniqueness of our market.
  • All product lines must be approved by the Drummoyne Markets team prior to the event.
  • No new product lines may be added to your stall without obtaining prior consent from the organisers.
  • The Drummoyne Markets team reserves the right to request the removal of any product from display if it does not align with the market’s guidelines.
  • All products and packaging must adhere to best practices for sustainability, including the use of eco-friendly, recyclable, or reusable materials wherever possible.

2. Cancellations and Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made at least seven (7) days prior to the event will receive a credit to be applied toward a future market date.
  • Cancellations made less than seven (7) days before the event will not be eligible for a credit.
  • No refunds are issued under any circumstances.

3. Stallholder Types

We offer two levels of stallholders:

  • Permanent Stallholders: Those who have booked at least one stall per month over the past 12 months. Permanent stallholders may receive priority in bookings or additional benefits.
  • Casual Stallholders: Those who book stalls with less frequency.

4. Booking Stall Process

  • Permanent Stallholders will have priority access to book their stalls each month.
  • After the 15th of the month, remaining stall spaces will be made available for Casual Stallholders to book.

5. Stall Requirements

  • Stallholders must bring their own equipment, including tables, chairs, and display items.
  • All stalls must look clean and professional. Table legs and storage items must be hidden from view using tablecloths or other coverings.
  • There is no on-site storage unless stallholders are attending on consecutive days.
  • Electricity points are limited. If required, please request a location with power access during registration. While we will do our best to meet these requests, supply is not guaranteed. All electrical equipment and leads must be tagged by an electrician every twelve months.

6. Setup and Pack-Down

  • Stall setup begins at 7:30 AM, and all stalls must be fully operational by 9:00 AM.
  • Stallholders are required to operate their stalls until 2:00 PM, and pack-down is not permitted before the official advertised market closing time.
  • Stallholders must leave their area clean and free of rubbish.
  • Choice of stalls and location on-site will be at the discretion of Drummoyne Markets, and their decision will be final.

7. Liability and Insurance

  • All stallholders must hold Public Liability Insurance with coverage of $20 million or more and provide a certificate of currency upon request.
  • Product Liability Insurance may also be required for certain products.
  • Exceptions may be given to hobbyists or startups, but this must be verified in writing by the organisers before booking.
  • The market organizers are not responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of goods.
  • If you are approved to trade at the Drummoyne Markets, you must provide the following:
    • A current Public Liability Certificate of $20 million or more.
    • If applicable, additional, current Product Liability Insurance.

8. Behavior and Conduct

  • Stalls must be supervised for the duration of the booking time. If you need to step away temporarily, notify a member of the market team in advance.
  • Stallholders are expected to act professionally and courteously at all times, demonstrating a positive attitude toward fellow stallholders, market management, and the public.
  • Vendors are responsible for their own sales and credit card transactions.
  • Stallholders must ensure their products comply with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Stallholders must promptly report any of the following to the Drummoyne Market team:

    • Any other concerns impacting health, safety, or security.

9. Weather Policy

  • The market will proceed indoors regardless of weather. For outdoor markets, stallholders are responsible for weatherproofing and ensuring the safety of their stall area.
  • In extreme weather conditions, the market organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event. In such cases, stallholders booked for that market will receive a credit.

10. Registration and Payment

  • Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
  • Stallholders will receive a confirmation email with market details in the week before their booked event.
